Goes without saying that Nick Phoenix is massively talented. And this album is nothing short of excellent. It will surpass any expectations you have going in. Every track is expertly made and performed, the lyrics striking, the vocals beautiful, the production intricate -- it’s just masterful. Can’t stop listening.

King Of One is Classic Rock at its core, but it has a unique sound that is more modern. It also has some jam band elements maybe. The band rocks and is all famous musicians. Very hard to pick favorites here. I’m not sure if there is a big radio hit here, but overall one of the strongest rock albums in years.

Nick Phoenix is an incredible and unique artist. His powerful and amazing voice is the driving force behind this epic work of art. His vision, depth, brilliance and ability to compose such epic and universal music for all four corners of the world is magical. I've worked with him for quite some time now and LOVE recording with this genius of pure music and what it's really meant to be. I really enjoyed this album. Nick Phoenix has a unique sound. “I Will Not Forget Your Face” is heartbreaking.

I’m of course very familiar with Nick’s epic compositions over the last decades, but these songs are emotionally personal, soulful and moving—with great production and musicianship, as always. Very memorable lyrics and melodies that come up in ones head randomly and somehow fit the moment, before you realise it—that’s always the best sign (as well as wanting to sing along)! Super great album.

This album has a McCartney/Beatles-Elton John/Bruce Hornsby sensibility. It has a 70's rock feel but new 21st-century qualities / composition. The more I listen, the more I enjoy this album...
