A children's album that appeals outside its genre

Though the Hipwaders' catchy songs are strictly labeled children's music, the trio's upbeat melodies attract listeners of every age. With vocals reminiscent of R.E.M. and They Might Be Giants, the Hipwaders don't stray far from the musical integrity of such alternative rock groups despite the youthful themes of their songs, such as Messy Room Song and Kelly the Clown, which actually bear some similarity to the themes of many lighthearted TMBG songs. The memorable tunes, including the Putt Putt Saves the Zoo computer game theme song Welcome to the Zoo, will surely bring a sense of nostalgia and enjoyment to any listener. And, of course, the age-appropriate and fun songs are a perfect choice for children.
