I sincerely hope Chris Corner is making enough money with IAMX to sustain this creative endeavor. This is one artist that honestly never disappoints me. I need to start paying more attention to fan-backed projects to support such great artists and musicians! IAMX has always had a darker tone, but this album is quite melancholy. The music and vocals are mostly subdued, but absolutely perfect for the overall direction of the album. In fact, I would suggest this may be Chris's most complete album to date. That is not to say previous albums were not phenomenal, but there is not a track weaker than any other on this album. “The Background Noise” very clearly demonstrates the tragic existence of those attempting to live according to societal expectations. In fact, the album as a whole speaks to those of us living on the fringes, peering at so-called “normal” people and wondering “What the hell is wrong with everyone? Am I actually a human being, as I cannot relate to 99.99% of people.” Thank you for another beautiful entry into your creative catalog, Chris.

I’ve always enjoyed the raw feel to Chris Corner’s music. He’s a true musician. Fully involved from creation to production to distribution. This album, like his many others, is pure art. The authentic emotion can be felt in every song. A sound only those rare few can achieve through pouring ones heart and soul into their work. Truly a trippy and magical album. Beauty comes from pain, without one can we truly appreciate the other?
