He produces very unique songs and can sing! What can he not do?!?!?!?
  • A beautifully dark take on pop music.

I was originally attracted to this artist because of his backstory, but once I heard the music I was hooked. It’s haunting, evocative, dark, and slightly sinister but somehow catchy and danceable. His heavy use of synthesis and sampling in creative and off kilter ways keeps you guessing and wondering, while his vocals keep you centered and fixated. I wish more pop music was like this. I read another review on here that said something about this not being an album you listen to the lyrics for, but I highly disagree. He his a poet, plain and simple. The lyrics are not straight forward, predictable, or obvious, and I for one, am VERY ok with that. Their meanings are wonderfully open and interpretive like everything else in this world. Do yourself a favor and hit play on this, unless that is, you don’t like filthy, heavy, psychedelia-infused, bass face inducing, forward thinking takes on modern music.

each song on this album have elements of industrial rock mixed with hip hop and pop, BOOTS is a very talented artist with an amazing new sound, i can't wait to hear more from him. My favorite songs on this album are Oracles, C.U.R.E, Run Roullete, and Brooklyn Gama

I randomly stumbled across I Run Roulette one day on the radio and fell in love! I’m loving this album so far! He has a very different and unique style (that some people may not like) but I LOVE it! What an amazing album! :)

I saw this on iTunes and preordered it. Just out of the blue. The sound is unique and fairly catchy. Definitely not my favorite thing ever, but is good! I'd recommend for anyone who wants a darker alt. sound

Boots is known as a hip hop producer, but my first experience was his song I Run Roulette, which sounds more like Nine Inch Nails than hip hop. It blew me away. The incredible sounds he brings together with a driving beat was unlike anything I’ve heard before. I preordered AQUARIA and downloaded the preview songs C.U.R.E., Bombs Away and AQUARIA. These became my soundtrack for morning runs on a work trip to San Diego and Santa Monica. Running to this music in the dark, in a foreign city is like a dystopian haunted house ride.
