Such a great album, the guitar playing and vocals are so raw! Favorites are Living In The Woods and Sasha

This was my introduction to Nugent. I loved it when it came out and I love it still. No other album that he has done is anywhere near as good as this. Call of The Wild comes closest but still Tooth, Fang & Claw is the best.

to me , this album is what made me a fan of ted. the other albums like cat scratch fever were good, but they only had a few good songs on them-the others were filler. his later albums have taken a different direction. i cant say that they match up to this album. this album is ted nugent and his ferocity and legacy. without this album , ted would be a gardener in a nursery somewhere in america. BUY this album. it is absolutely a part of rock history. without it , well, you are just missing the action.

I had some die hard fans as parents, they named me Sasha after the song. My dad would sing the song to me as a little girl when I was upset. It is a hard song to find and was VERY happy to have found it here!
  • Essentially Ted's First Solo Album

Ted dominates this disc, even though it is technically the Amboy Dukes. Ted forges his caveman/outdoorsman persona here. Every song is great, including the ballad Sasha (its a man's ballad, not one of these hair metal, inner wus, every rose has a limp wrist ballads), the instrumental free flight, and 2 songs he'd bring back on Live Gonzo, Hibernation and Great White Buffalo. Love his remake of Mabelline. I bailed on Ted after Scream Dream (I came back for Full Bluntal Nugity....all is forgiven Ted), but this is Ted at his creative peak, from this up to Cat Scratch Fever.

Growing up when Rock and Roll had meaning and took musical talent on the bands part. There was the Motor City Madman, Ted Nugent. The first Album I ever bought was Cat Sratch Fever then Free For All, and then his self titled album Ted Nugent. Then I discovered Tooth Claw and Fang. THis has to be the best Nugent creation ever. It is aparent that he had taken control of the Amboy Dukes which I think was a plus!!!! I guess the earlier Acid Rock of the Amboy Dukes is OK if you were a hippy in the 60's and early 70's but As Joe Dirt said, I'm a Rocker and nothing of Ted's rocks harder than this Album. It took talent to create these true works of art. Every song gets 5 Stars from me even Maybeline.
