Nigerian musician Kingsley Chinweike Okonkwo, popularly known as Kcee, has addressed speculations about him sampling a song by Highlife legend Mike Ejeagha without permission. After this, social media users swiftly accused Kcee of using Ejeagha’s song without appropriate permissions. In response, Kcee uploaded another video showing himself and his team visiting Mike Ejeagha back in 2018. He claimed to have received the veteran singer’s approval before utilizing his work and asserted that all required procedures were duly followed.

In his statement:

“Be sure of your source of information before you become an agent of fake news!

With all due respect to the living legend Mike Ejeagha and his family, I want to state categorically that in 2018 I got his consent before using his intellectual property and every paperwork to that regard was officially engaged.

To whom it may concern, kindly take note!

Meanwhile, my album ‘Mr Versatile’ drops on Friday July the 26th.
