Singer Michael Olayinka, popularly known as Ruger, was spotted connecting with other artists, Crown Uzama aka Shallipopi and Divine Ikubor, known as Rema, backstage at the Wireless Festival in London. A video shared on Instagram captured Ruger interacting with Shallipopi while Zerry DI and Rema shook hands. Additionally, Ruger made an appearance alongside DJ Cuppy in a segment called ‘Quick Wire Questions’ during the festival.
During the segment, DJ Cuppy, holding microphones, encouraged Ruger to share his aspirations. She mentioned,
”This is your chance to put yourself out there, you know shoot that shot. If you could work with any other artist, I mean we have so many…”
Ruger promptly responded, “Doja Cat,” to which DJ Cuppy remarked, “Oh, he said it. He knows what he wants.”
The Wireless Festival, an annual event celebrating rap and hip-hop, organized by Live Nation, is a significant occurrence in London’s music landscape. The 2024 edition, held from July 12 to July 14, featured performances by the three artists.
