Famed Afrobeat vocalist, Divine Ikubor, also known as Rema, has caused a stir online after revealing that he considers himself a ‘god‘ and sharing the news that his upcoming girlfriend will soon become the mother of his first child. The singer of the hit “Calm Down” took to Instagram to announce this development to his followers. Without revealing the woman’s face in a photo shared, Rema praised her physical features, particularly focusing on her physique and mentioning that she had inked a tattoo dedicated to him. Emphasizing her loyalty, he declared that she is willing to do anything for him, including having his child.
During an Instagram live session on Ravers, which has a large following of over 54,000 members, Rema boldly stated;
“My new girlfriend has a great figure. She got a tattoo for me, she will do anything for me. She will be the mother of my child – a child for a god. I am a god.”
This announcement comes after Rema’s recent appearance at Paris Fashion Week alongside other notable Afrobeat artists. His comments have elicited mixed reactions from fans and critics, with many taken aback by his confident declaration.
