Yeule Unveils New Single “eko”
About a year ago, Yeule launched their impressive album Softscars, which received accolades as Album Of The Week and was recognized as one of the Best Albums of 2023. Since then, the Singaporean artist has contributed to the I Saw The TV Glow soundtrack with a cover of Broken Social Scene’s “Anthems For A 17-Year-Old Girl” and collaborated with Mura Masa. Now, Yeule is back with their first original solo release since Softscars titled “eko.”
Per the press release, “eko” explores themes of “obsession, love, and a voice that echoes in Yeule’s mind.” The track showcases a stronger pop influence with polished vocals, catchy hooks, and an energetic dance vibe, all while maintaining a hint of unsettling darkness underneath its sweet surface. The YouTube description mentions it as “track 3 of 10,” suggesting a new album from Yeule may be on the horizon. Check out “eko” below.
