Exciting New Releases from Wussy
Wussy is back with exciting news. The acclaimed indie rock band is set to unveil their latest album, Cincinnati Ohio, along with two EPs this fall. The lead track, “The Great Divide,” was a poignant addition, and the newest single, “Sure As The Sun,” showcases Chuck Cleaver. Known as the former frontman of Ass Ponys, Cleaver’s presence offers a nice balance to Lisa Walker’s contributions in Wussy. The song features a gradual build with rich brass elements, complementing Cleaver’s raspy voice beautifully.
Cleaver shared his thoughts on the single:
My songwriting process has always been somewhat elusive. Generally, it revolves around pushing back against the inevitable changes, maintaining relevance, valuing friendships, and allowing some grace to others until they show otherwise. While the song’s mood might lean towards the somber side, I still consider it one of my more optimistic pieces. Well, as optimistic as I can manage.
