The latest album from Wild Pink is impressive, as expected, and it will be available soon: Dulling The Horns releases next week. John Ross has already shared tracks like “The Fences Of Stonehenge,” “Sprinter Brain,” and “Eating The Egg Whole,” and today he has unveiled the title track. This song showcases the album’s richer sound with powerful, echoing distorted chords, complemented by some subdued horn elements, reflecting Ross’ reflective mood. The lyrics convey a poignant message: “If you don’t learn to let go, you’re gonna fall apart,” particularly as the song climaxes.
According to Ross, “This song came together in like an hour or two, much more quickly than the other tracks, which is unusual for me. It was one of the last pieces I created for the album, and it felt appropriate to name the record after it. It essentially addresses the theme of moving on.” You can listen to it below.
Dulling The Horns will be released on 10/4 through Fire Talk.
