Wilco released a new EP named Hot Sun Cool Shroud and coincided this release with their Solid Sound festival. If you missed out on tickets to the festival, how about getting your hands on a unique six-keyboard Wurlitzer?
The band members of Wilco have a penchant for vintage gear, especially old Wurlitzers, as seen in their recent “Meant To Be” music video. When Jeff Tweedy’s wife, Susie, found a six-keyboard Wurlitzer at a junk shop for $50, she couldn’t resist buying it and bringing it to Wilco’s studio, the Loft, in Chicago.
The Musitronic Learning System, a six-keyboard Wurlitzer from the ’60s or ’70s, boasts individual outputs allowing each player to customize their effects. This unique piece of equipment is just one of the items Wilco will be selling on their official Reverb store. While guitars from Tweedy’s personal collection dominate the offerings, the six-keyboard Wurlitzer is a highlight. For more details, check here and sign up for updates here.
