UV-TV Unveils Captivating New Single “Pale Blue Island” on TunesDeck

UV-TV – “Pale Blue Island”

UV-TV has recently revealed their upcoming album titled The Optimistic Wrench, along with the release of its lead single. Now, the Gainesville-bred, Brooklyn-based band offers another glimpse of their sound with the track “Pale Blue Island.” This ethereal and feedback-laden song invokes a feel reminiscent of a performance at the Roadhouse from Twin Peaks: The Return.

Ian Burns, the band’s guitarist and songwriter, explains that “Pale Blue Island” came to life late at night, created from bed using an Omnichord. The lyrics explore themes of someone leaving their home planet in search of a brighter future, presenting environmental consciousness with a sound akin to the Beach Boys’ classic “Surf’s Up.”

Be sure to check out the video for the song, directed by Zoe Camina, below.

The album The Optimistic Wrench will be available on October 11 through PaperCup/No Non Fiction.
