Undeath’s Latest Music Release on TunesDeck

Undeath – “Disputatious Malignancy”

Undeath, known for their brutal death metal sound from Rochester, gained recognition with their album It’s Time… To Rise From The Grave, which led to being labeled a Stereogum Band to Watch. The band is now preparing to drop a new LP titled More Insane, promising to maintain their intense reputation. After releasing the first single “Brandish The Blade,” Undeath presents another intense track, “Disputatious Malignancy.”

This latest song by Undeath continues the death metal tradition of using complex and obscure terms for titles. The track delivers a gritty and intense vibe, complemented by a visually disturbing claymation video by director Hayden Hall. The music video showcases worms entering a man’s ear, resulting in gruesome and shocking outcomes. Alexander Jones, the band’s vocalist, shared insights about the track:

“Disputatious Malignancy” was penned towards the end of the album creation process. Upon hearing a rough demo on Kyle’s phone during pre-production at Mark’s studio, I instantly felt it needed to be part of the record. Thematically, it echoes elements of the Pierced From Within-era Suffocation mixed with Bloodborne lore. It also marks one of our first tracks with anti-religious sentiments. It’s high-paced, bouncy, and boasts a fantastic dueling solo section that I adore.”

The album More Insane is set for release on 10/4 under Prosthetic.
