At night, rest eludes you. Restless thoughts swirl, bringing anxiety and at times, tears. The pace of life has become overwhelming, and everything feels increasingly unfamiliar. Each new day dawns like a reminder of how much has changed, making one yearn for the past. Remember the days when U2 was launching their album How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb in 2004? Those days are set to return. Your wish has been granted.
In the upcoming month, U2 will unveil How To Re-Assemble An Atomic Bomb. This “shadow album” revisits the era when they crafted How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb, which many hold dear. This release coincides with a special 20th-anniversary edition of the original album, featuring five unreleased tracks from those recording sessions. One of them, titled “Country Mile,” has already been shared, and now they’ve released “Happiness.”
“Happiness” offers a polished sound reminiscent of what U2 might have contributed to the Mission: Impossible III soundtrack. The track carries a hint of dance-rock vibes, possibly reflecting influences akin to Franz Ferdinand. It’s an acceptable listen, I suppose? Check it out below.
How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb (Re-Assemble Edition) releases on November 22, while How To Re-Assemble An Atomic Bomb is set for November 29.
