Thus Love recently announced their upcoming album “All Pleasure,” following their debut “Memorial” from 2022. They first revealed “Birthday Song” and now they present “On The Floor.”
The band shared that “‘On The Floor’ was composed during our tour in support of the debut album and was frequently performed live. It captures the essence of our first album, Memorial. When arranging the songs for All Pleasure, we felt ‘On The Floor’ served as a fitting transition from the debut to this new record. The track conveys a direct message about the need to seek education beyond traditional schooling and the dangers of being complicit in oppressive systems.”
The accompanying music video for “On The Floor” is directed by Augie Voss and Benni Shumlin, who expressed:
The music video for “On The Floor” was a collaborative effort within the community. It captures the essence of Thus Love’s new album and encapsulates the vibe of the song. We had the freedom to explore various contrasts, such as skin against metal, oil, and sweat. By embracing unconventional settings like industrial spaces and machinery, we were able to have fun and unleash our creativity in these environments. The imagery incorporates elements like leather jackets, motorcycles, and junkyards, playing with their stereotypical associations and giving them new meaning within our visual storytelling.

The album All Pleasure will be available on 11/1 via Captured Tracks.
