Thomas Bangalter from Daft Punk Shares Six Hours of Music from Dance Performance CHIROPTERA

Daft Punk’s Thomas Bangalter Releases Six Hours Of Music From Dance Performance CHIROPTERA

In a collaboration last November, Thomas Bangalter of Daft Punk, along with artist JR and choreographer Damien Jallet, orchestrated a performance at the Paris Opera House featuring 154 dancers. The official soundtrack for this performance, called CHIROPTERA, has been released today. Additionally, Bangalter has unveiled a six-hour and 50-minute music collection from the project named CHIROPTERA MATIERE PREMIERE.

Beyond CHIROPTERA, another creation by Bangalter titled ALETHEIA 19 is now on display at the Espace Saint-Claude in Paris. ALETHEIA 19 comprises 19 monophonic microgrooves on vinyl, played simultaneously in an unsynchronized manner. This installation is part of JR’s exhibition, DANS LA LUMIERE, at Galerie Perrotin in Paris, running until June 15.

Discover a range of new music associated with CHIROPTERA below. This includes the two tracks featured in the EP, “CHIROPTERA” and “CHIROPTERA (Solo Intro),” as well as the extensive CHIROPTERA MATIERE PREMIERE and a video capturing the November performance.

The albums CHIROPTERA and CHIROPTERA MATIERE PREMIERE are now available on Bangalter’s Alberts & Gothmaan label. Vinyl EP pre-orders can be made here.
