The Smile’s Upcoming Album Release
In just two days, the Smile will launch their second album of 2024, titled Cutouts. To mark the occasion, they have unveiled one final track called “Bodies Laughing,” which wraps up the album. This song features an acoustic rhythm, lively bass lines, and a unique vocal style that brings to mind elements from Thom Yorke and Jonny Greenwood’s earlier works, notably reminiscent of “Knives Out” from the album Amnesiac. It also incorporates some electronic vibes similar to those found in A Moon Shaped Pool. Check it out below.
Cutouts will be available on October 4th through XL Recordings. On the same day, the band plans to release a music video directed by Weirdcore for “Instant Psalm,” which is considered one of the standout tracks on the album.
