The Horrors, a British rock band known for their gothic glam style, recently made a comeback after a period of silence. They had previously released two EPs, Lout and Against The Blade, in 2021. Following that, keyboardist Tom Furse decided to take a break from the group. Now, the band has reassembled with a fresh lineup and plans to launch a new album titled Night Life, which is their first in eight years, slated for release early next year.
The revamped lineup includes core members Faris Badwan (vocals) and Rhys Webb (bass), along with new faces Amelia Kidd on keyboards and Jordan Cobb from Telegram on drums. They worked on the upcoming album in Los Angeles with producer Yves Rothman, and have released a video for the leading single “The Silence That Remains,” directed by Sarah Piantadosi. The track embodies classic goth-rock elements with driving drums, deep bass, and a haunting vocal performance by Badwan complemented by Kidd’s ethereal backing vocals. Take a look at the video and the tracklist for the new album below.
