Tess Parks: New Single “Koalas” from Album “Pomegranate”
Tess Parks, known for her collaboration with Anton Newcombe of the Brian Jonestown Massacre, released her second solo album in 2022 named And Those Who Were Seen Dancing. She is now set to release a new album titled Pomegranate with the lead single “Koalas.”
Pomegranate is co-mixed by Ruari Meehan and Mikko Gordon, known for their work with The Smile, Gaz Coombes, and Arcade Fire. The process of creating the album started with the song “Koalas,” which was sent to Tess by Ruari Meehan. Tess reflects on the impact of the song on her during a challenging time in her life.
The album was a result of a collaborative effort with Ruari, with Tess providing vocals over his music. The song “Koalas” also features whistling by Molly Lewis. The music video for the single is directed by Benjamin Wearing.
