Tears For Fears has a legacy that spans more than 40 years, and they’re set to release their inaugural live album. Titled Songs For A Nervous Planet, this album will be available in October, paired with a concert film shot at the FirstBank Amphitheater in Franklin, Tennessee last year. The album includes four new studio tracks, featuring the recently released single “The Girl That I Call Home.”
Curt Smith, one of the band members, expressed in a press release, “Many people don’t realize that we perform really well live! When they see us as a duo, they often expect just two musicians with keyboards and backing tracks. We’ve significantly enhanced our performance abilities since the 1980s.” Roland Orzabal remarked, “This album could be seen as a project that took forty years to come to fruition.”
You can check out “The Girl That I Call Home” below, along with a clip from their concert film featuring the classic song “Sowing The Seeds Of Love.”
