In this ongoing year, the Dublin-based band Sprints, known for their “garage noise” style, made a significant splash with their debut album Letter To Self, which debuted on the first New Music Friday of 2024. Despite facing various challenges, including a mix of impressive performances and troubling audience behaviors, along with the departure of guitarist Colm O’Reilly, they have continued to create music post-release.
Earlier this year, they introduced two new tracks, “Help Me I’m Spiralling” and “Drones.” Today, they present another exciting release titled “Feast,” which explores a blend of glam and grunge reminiscent of bands like Cherry Glazerr. The song creatively transforms biblical themes into a queer narrative with lines like, “She chewed me up like dinner.” As the song progresses, it builds in intensity and excitement.
