Silverbacks recently dropped their latest track “Something I Know,” following their 2022 album Archive Material. They have just announced their upcoming LP titled Easy Being A Winner, showcasing their unique indie rock sound.
The lead single “Something I Know” delves into the inner conflict of a religious individual torn between love and faith. The lyrics portray a common struggle of choosing between romantic feelings and religious devotion, leaving the character grappling with their decisions and beliefs. The track also features a special appearance by John, the father of the lyricist and vocalist, who contributes with clarinet drones and a spoken word segment towards the end.
Recorded with Daniel Fox, Easy Being A Winner draws inspiration from influential bands like My Bloody Valentine, Guided By Voices, and Stereolab. O’Kelly expressed, “This album embodies the indie rock essence that we envisioned for our band from the beginning, solidifying our identity in the music scene.”
