Sam Gendel Reimagines Haruomi Hosono’s “My Love Is Peach-Colored”

In celebration of the 50th anniversary of Haruomi Hosono’s influential album Hosono House, a tribute project titled Hosono House Revisited is in the works, featuring various artists. Among those contributing, Mac DeMarco has shared his version of “Boku Wa Chotto,” and Cornelius has presented his cover of “Bara To Yaju.” Recently, Sam Gendel has also released his interpretation of “My Love Is Peach-Colored.”

This year, Yuma Abe released a cover of “Fuyu Goe,” and John Carroll Kirby teamed up with the Mizuhara Sisters to produce a version of “Fuku Wa Uchi Oni Wa Soto.” You can listen to Gendel’s cover below.

The album Hosono House Revisited is scheduled for release on November 1st through Stones Throw.
