Ruthven Announces Debut Album and New Single
Sean Nelson, the talented London artist known as Ruthven, recently revealed that he will be releasing his first album titled Rough & Ready. This album will include earlier singles such as “123 Days,” “Don’t Keep It To Yourself,” and “I Can’t Go There.” The anticipated release is scheduled for October. Today, we’re excited to share a new track from the album titled “Itch,” which showcases a captivating funk vibe.
In a statement, Ruthven mentioned, “‘Itch’ was one of the earliest songs I wrote, but I only recognized it as part of the album later. It evolved over several years, initially starting at the first station. As the album developed, “Itch” emerged as an enjoyable addition. Creating it was a joyful experience, heavily influenced by the funk sounds of Rick James and Cameo — I believe that fantastic energy is present in the song.”
