The lead singer of Superdrag, John Davis, has recently introduced his new solo album, JINX. He has already shared two singles from the album, “The Future” and “Take My Brains Out,” and now presents his latest song, “Indifferent Stars.”
“Indifferent Stars” carries a reminiscent feel of early-2000s Superdrag, kicking off with a burst of distorted guitars setting the stage for Davis’s catchy vocal tunes. In a press release, he mentioned his thoughts on the song:
Throughout the process of creating this song, it underwent various arrangements, yet there were elements that always resonated with me. “I guess it’s time to let it go, the hate that weighed me down, then disappeared.” I find this line powerful as it addresses a specific issue, a long-standing bitterness that I carried for two decades. However, once I released it, it vanished. It was a monumental moment for me.
Feel free to listen to “Indifferent Stars” below.
JINX will be available on 9/27 under Lost In Ohio label.
