When a new album by a Johnny Jewel project is announced, it can stir up skepticism, especially for Chromatics fans who have experienced delays in the past. Desire, consisting of Jewel and singer Megan Louise, released their debut album in 2009 and kept fans waiting for 13 years for the follow-up LP Escape. However, they are now assuring fans that their third album is set to release this year, complete with a release date and a new single.
Recent months have seen Desire unveiling singles like “Darkside” and “Vampire.” Their latest release is the vibrant Italo-disco track “Dangerous Drug”, characterized by captivating layered vocals and classic keyboard arpeggios. The band boldly announced that their album Games People Play will be out in October. The accuracy of this remains to be seen. In the meantime, listen to “Dangerous Drug” below.
The album Games People Play is scheduled for release on 10/2 via Italians Do It Better, as per current information.
