Public Opinion – “Drawn From Memory”

Public Opinion Unveils New Music on TunesDeck

If you have a taste for hardcore musicians exploring different genres like garage rock and ’90s alternative, Denver’s Public Opinion might pique your interest. Having gained attention with their 2022 EP Modern Convenience, they have followed up with singles such as “Heaven Sent,” “Dry Clean Only,” and a collaboration with Rex Tycoon on “Bug.” Now, the band is gearing up to release their first full-length album.

Public Opinion worked on their debut album Painted On Smile with Ian Shelton from Militarie Gun/Regional Justice Center and Taylor Young from God’s Hate/Twitching Tongues, both serving as producers. They have recently released the album opener, “Drawn From Memory,” featuring strong riffs and intense vocals from lead singer Kevin Hart.

In a statement, Kevin Hart shared his perspective on the track, stating, “I realize that someday I will pass away without rectifying every mistake I’ve made. Therefore, I must choose where I can make a meaningful impact. However, this is easier said than done.” The accompanying music video shows Hart dressed as a scarecrow wandering through Denver.
