Porridge Radio Unveils Captivating Single “A Hole In The Ground” on TunesDeck

Porridge Radio – “A Hole In The Ground”

This summer, Porridge Radio unveiled “Sick Of The Blues,” the powerful final track from their upcoming album, Clouds In The Sky They Will Always Be There For Me. Today, they released another track from the album, titled “A Hole In The Ground.” This new song features intense dynamics and a lively rhythm, highlighting the band’s bold and immersive style of indie rock. Dana Margolin passionately sings, “Take off all of my clothes and run to your house/ Where in place of a door is a hole in the ground,” followed by, “And I fill it with salt, the hard bits of my heart/ They fall into the hole and they tear it apart.”

Margolin shared her thoughts on the song:

This track explores feelings of uncertainty, being trapped in a surreal or nightmarish scenario, continuously running and envisioning bleak outcomes that ultimately come true. It’s a soothing lullaby layered with a tragic folktale essence. Essentially, it reflects on the awareness of what remains unknown, predicting the future and sometimes being correct.

Check out Ella Margolin’s music video for “A Hole In The Ground,” which was shot at the Centre Pompidou in Paris.

Clouds In The Sky They Will Always Be There For Me will be released on October 18 via Secretly Canadian.
