Pixies Unveil Their New Album “The Night The Zombies Came” Featuring New Bassist

Pixies Announce The Night The Zombies Came, First Album With New Bassist

Earlier this year, Pixies made the decision to part ways with their long-time bassist Paz Lenchantin. The departure came as a surprise to Lenchantin, but the band had a clear strategy in place. They welcomed the talented Emma Richardson from Band Of Skulls as their new bassist. Richardson’s first album with Pixies, titled The Night The Zombies Came, will feature the latest single “Chicken.”

The Night The Zombies Came is set to be released in October and will also include the track “You’re So Impatient” from last month. Produced by Tom Dalgety, who has collaborated on Pixies’ previous three albums, “Chicken” showcases dramatic lyrics with prominent bass. The song expresses feelings of yearning as Black Francis sings, “Sometimes I feel like a chicken, pecking my way through the trees.” Check out “Chicken” and the Zombies tracklist below.
