Pa Salieu, a British rapper, was sentenced to 33 months in prison in December 2022 for violent disorder and weapon offenses. After serving 21 months, he is now free and has released a new song titled “Belly.”
The track begins with the 27-year-old artist rapping, “I been gone for a while but I still made it back to you.” His release was confirmed by Pitchfork. Salieu was arrested for his involvement in a violent incident following the stabbing of his best friend, Fidel Glasgow, in Coventry in 2018. Video footage captured Salieu assaulting a man with a tree branch, resulting in the victim spending 10 days in the hospital.
