Osees – “Earthling”

Osees revealed their forthcoming album, SORCS 80, and dropped the track “Cassius, Brutus & Judas” last month. Today, the psychedelic punk group introduces “Earthling.”

Frontman John Dwyer shared the inspiration behind “Earthling,” stating, “‘Earthling’ reflects the parts of myself I’ve attempted to transform over time. Many can relate to the desire to improve oneself, to connect with the humane part rather than succumbing to demons and negative emotions.”

He further elaborated, “Being a ‘good’ person requires effort and over time, we strive to resolve lingering issues that have haunted us. Life is fleeting, cherish moments before they slip away.”

“Earthling” is an energizing, fuzzy track brimming with lively synthesizers, at moments evoking shades of Weezer’s Pinkerton. Listen below.

SORCS 80 is set to release on 8/9 via Castle Face.
