A$AP Rocky’s fans have eagerly been awaiting his new album, titled Don’t Be Dumb, for quite some time, and while updates on the album have been circulating, he has been busy collaborating with artists like Future, Metro Boomin, the Free Nationals, and Denzel Curry. Finally, Rocky has released a new single featuring Jessica Pratt, a surprising but cool collaboration!
Jessica Pratt, known for her astral folk music, dropped her acclaimed album Here In The Pitch earlier this year. In a recent interview on Apple Music with Zane Lowe, Rocky expressed his admiration for alternative sounds and praised Jessica Pratt’s unique musical style, drawing comparisons to Portishead and Stevie Nicks.
Titled “Highjack,” the new song was co-produced by Rocky along with Hitkidd, Zach Fogarty, Greg Kurstin, Jordan Patrick, and Rex Kudo. The track exudes a sunny, spectral boom-bap vibe reminiscent of Rocky’s early work. The song starts with Rocky delivering his signature confident verses before transitioning into a more atmospheric sound with Jessica Pratt’s vocals and backup vocals by Jon Batiste. It’s a cool song that showcases their collaboration!
