New Country Album Announcement: Post Malone’s F-1 Trillion and Collaboration with Blake Shelton on “Pour Me A Drink”

Post Malone Announces Country Album F-1 Trillion, Shares “Pour Me A Drink” With Blake Shelton

Post Malone is set to make a big splash with his upcoming country album. After making a notable return earlier this year, with appearances at the Super Bowl and on albums by top artists like Beyoncé and Taylor Swift, Post Malone released the hit duet “I Had Some Help” with Morgan Wallen. This song has dominated the charts for the past five weeks, overshadowing competitors like Eminem and Sabrina Carpenter. The success of this track hints at the potential of Post Malone’s forthcoming album.

In August, Post Malone will drop his latest album titled F-1 Trillion. While specific details about the album remain under wraps, it is anticipated to showcase Post’s venture into the country genre. Unlike Beyoncé’s more genre-exploratory “Cowboy Carter,” Post Malone’s album may delve deeper into traditional country sounds by collaborating with Nashville’s finest writers, producers, and musicians. A sneak peek of this direction is evident in his latest single, “Pour Me A Drink.”

“Pour Me A Drink” is a collaboration with country star Blake Shelton and was premiered at Nashville’s CMA Fest, alongside another country track, “Never Love You Again,” showcased at the CMA Awards. Co-written and recorded by Post Malone alongside Louis Bell and Charlie Handsome, the song also credits Nashville songwriters John Byron, Jordan Dozzi, and Rocky Block. This honky-tonk tune narrates the urge for a drink after a tough week, capturing the essence of a country singalong akin to the success of “I Had Some Friends.”

While “Pour Me A Drink” may not replicate the widespread success of “I Had Some Help” due to the different style of Blake Shelton, it carries the potential for another hit. The 18-track album F-1 Trillion is slated for release on 8/16 under Mercury/Republic label, offering listeners a diverse musical experience.
