Ahead of the release of his new album Box For Buddy, Box For Star this Friday, Nate Amos, the creative force behind This Is Lorelei and a member of Water From Your Eyes, has already given us a taste of what’s to come with singles like “Dancing In The Club,” “I’m All Fucked Up,” and “Where’s Your Love Now.” Today, we get another sneak peek with the latest release, “Perfect Hand.”
“Perfect Hand” showcases Amos’ more laid-back side, featuring a rhythmic drum machine beat and a simple, yet melodious piano riff that evokes a sense of tranquility. In a statement, Amos describes the song as a reflection on finding clarity amidst confusion. He explains, “‘Perfect Hand’ is about clarity in the muck. You’ve been headed in a direction so long you don’t know why anymore, and suddenly there’s a moment when you remember and it brings you peace of some kind, like waking up in a good way.”
