New Album by Thurston Moore – “The Diver”

Thurston Moore – “The Diver”

Thurston Moore, a cofounder of Sonic Youth, is preparing to release a new album titled Flow Critical Lucidity in September. Several tracks have already been shared from the album, such as “Isadora,” “Hypnogram,” “Rewilding,” and “Sans Limites” featuring Lætitia Sadier of Stereolab. Moore has now unveiled another sneak peek from the album titled “The Diver,” with lyrics by Radieux Radio, bass by Deb Googe (My Bloody Valentine), and percussion by Jem Doulton (Roisin Murphy).

According to Moore, “‘The Diver’ concludes the album with the story of a diver lost underwater in Lake Geneva while the songs were being composed. The diver was delving into the depths, studying a world affected by human interference, only to be discovered days later, his life taken by the wilderness. The track serves as the album’s finale, featuring a recurring piano motif resembling a beckoning call, a persistent melody like an alarm.”

Flow Critical Lucidity will be available on 9/20 under Daydream Library.
