The forthcoming debut solo album by Alan Sparhawk, titled White Roses, My God, is a reflection of his journey after the loss of his wife and bandmate Mimi Parker to cancer in 2022. The lead single “Can U Hear” gives a glimpse into Sparhawk’s emotional depth in this project.
Set for release in September, White Roses, My God is described as a cathartic exploration rather than a means of closure. Recorded at 20 Below Studios in Duluth, Minnesota, the album was a collaborative effort with Nat Harvie. The track “Can U Hear” captures the essence of Low’s signature style with its intricate soundscapes and poignant lyrics. Here’s the haunting video for the single.
