An upcoming album from Miranda Lambert has been announced. Titled Postcards From Texas, it is set to be released in September under Republic. The album will include singles like “Wranglers,” “Dammit Randy,” and the newly released track “Alimony.” Co-written with Shane McAnally and Natalie Hemby, “Alimony” offers a fresh take with its rocking shuffle that cleverly references the Alamo.
Sharing her thoughts on the song, Lambert said:
Collaborating with Shane and Natalie, I was inspired by a title Shane suggested. It was tongue-in-cheek and fun, giving a nod to the Alamo. We wanted to create a lively shuffle for this record, as I hadn’t explored this rhythm lately, and everyone enjoys a good shuffle.
