Live and Stone Temple Pilots, both renowned alt-rock bands from the ’90s, have embarked on a co-headlining tour and released a new single after six years.
They are commemorating the 30th anniversary of their hit albums Throwing Copper and Purple, with performances supported by Soul Asylum or Our Lady Peace on various dates. Stone Temple Pilots now feature their third frontman, Jeff Gutt, following the tragic losses of Scott Weiland and Chester Bennington. Live’s frontman, Ed Kowalczyk, is the sole member remaining from the original lineup, with the rest joining the band post-2016.
Live recently unveiled their new track, “Lady Bhang (She Got Me Rollin’),” coinciding with the tour launch. The song features Stone Temple Pilots guitarist Dean DeLeo and contains a nostalgic lyric referring to the water’s edge.
