LCD Soundsystem Teases New Track “X-Ray Eyes”
Renowned for their dynamic live performances, LCD Soundsystem, a standout band from New York in the 2000s, is set to return to the stage this fall with residencies planned in Los Angeles and New York. While new releases from them are a rarity, the band gave fans a taste of new music two years ago with “New Body Rhumba” featured in Noah Baumbach’s film White Noise. This made the unexpected unveiling of new music quite exciting.
Recently, as highlighted by Brooklyn Vegan, DJ Anu played an unreleased LCD Soundsystem track titled “X-Ray Eyes” on her NTS Radio show Soup To Nuts. The song features a vibrant beat and features James Murphy’s signature deadpan vocals, reminiscent of their classic sound. Anu previewed nearly five minutes of the track, including a brief interjection during the play to prevent unauthorized copying, hinting that it could extend even further. She noted that the official release is expected soon, aligning with the band’s upcoming LA residency around Halloween.
For an early listen to “X-Ray Eyes,” you can tune in here and skip to the 19:59 mark.
