Katy Perry’s Latest Music Release on TunesDeck

Katy Perry – “Woman’s World”

From provocative beginnings with “I Kissed A Girl,” Katy Perry is back in the spotlight as she announces her upcoming album after four years. The album titled 143 symbolizes “I love you” with Perry aiming for a celebratory dance-pop vibe as the main theme.

Anticipation has been building up for the lead single “Woman’s World,” with debates surfacing regarding the associated artwork and Perry’s reunion with producer Dr. Luke, who co-wrote the song along with Perry, Vaughn Oliver, Aaron Joseph, and Rocco Did It Again.

Dr. Luke, a previous close collaborator of Perry, faced legal issues with Kesha in 2014, but the duo reconciled last year. Perry’s involvement with Dr. Luke again raised eyebrows, with speculations about a possible reference to Kesha in the “Woman’s World” promotional campaign.

“Woman’s World” has been released featuring empowering lyrics like “It’s a woman’s world and you’re lucky to be living in it,” embracing pop-feminist values. The music video, directed by Charlotte Rutherford, includes a cameo by Trisha Paytas and an impactful gas station scene.

Mark your calendars for the release of 143 on 9/20 via Capitol, and grab your pre-order here.
