Kassie Krut Unveils New Music and Record Deal
Recently, we revisited Kassie Krut, a project that features Kasra Kurt and Eve Alpert, who were part of the renowned DIY band Palm. Now, with Matt Anderegg from Mothers and Body Meat on board, they have signed with Fire Talk Records and released an exciting new single.
“Reckless” – The Theme Song
“Reckless” serves as the anthem for Kassie Krut, showcasing Alpert clearly pronouncing the band’s name against an energetic and intense electronic backdrop. This track is sure to resonate with fans of Water From Your Eyes. The band shares that the song came about through a focused approach of using minimal elements:
“Reckless” is an exercise in restraint. We challenged ourselves to write a song with one bass note, one drum beat, and just a couple simple chords. Sometimes we experience self-doubt, so it was fun to create a tougher version of ourselves – someone who’s fast and mean. It also plays with the misconception that Kassie refers to an individual rather than a group. Our project name is a bit quirky, so we decided to spell it out for our listeners.
