Get ready for Illuminati Hotties’ upcoming album Power. The indie rock endeavor led by Sarah Tudzin has already treated fans to tracks like “Can’t Be Still,” “Didn’t,” and the album’s title piece. Today, they released another track, “The L,” a catchy anthem for you to sing along to.
“The L” dives into the theme of accepting defeats gracefully and setting aside your ego. Here is Tudzin’s take on the song:
“The L” conveys the importance of knowing when to step back – a lesson I’ve been fortunate to experience repeatedly. It emphasizes the importance of setting your pride aside for the sake of resolution. We could choose different paths, but I’d rather take the “L” instead. The bridge features vocals from the original demo, capturing the vulnerability felt when embracing love and compromise. Independent, headstrong, and stubborn individuals often struggle with navigating partnerships, but in this song, I’ve surrendered… love conquers all.”

The album Power will be released on 8/23 through Hopeless Records.
