Hinds Reveals New Track “Superstar”
Hinds has undergone significant changes recently with the departure of the band’s rhythm section. Now operating as a duo with singers and guitarists Carlotta Cosials and Ana García Perrote, the band is gearing up for the release of their upcoming album Viva Hinds later this summer. Previously, they released tracks like “Coffee,” “En Forma,” and the collaboration with Beck titled “Boom Boom Back.” Their latest offering is the single “Superstar.”
The new single by Hinds, titled “Superstar,” is a powerful anthem that transitions from nervous and dreamy verses to a bold and resolute chorus. Both Carlotta Cosials and Ana García Perrote lend their voices to the song, creating a dynamic interplay between their vocals and guitars. The accompanying music video, self-directed by the duo, features them performing in what looks like an abandoned train station.
Explaining the inspiration behind “Superstar,” Hinds shared, “Superstar” talks about the disappointment and the pain you feel when someone you love deeply disappears with no explanation. You feel worthless, you start thinking you never really knew that person, and you question your shared past and if what you remember really happened. It’s hard to let people go, but writing this song helped. People need closure, and this song is ours.”
