Earlier this year, Rosali released her captivating album Bite Down, which earned the title of Album Of The Week. Now, she’s returning with a new track titled “Hey Heron.”
This song was previously featured on Cardinals At The Window, a compilation created to aid in the relief efforts for Hurricane Helene. Rosali shared that although “Hey Heron” was penned two years ago, its imagery has gained significant meaning, making it a fitting choice for this occasion:
The song explores our existence and our connection with everything around us. During daily walks along the river, I sought answers to feelings of sadness and suffering by engaging in conversations with the trees, rocks, and birds. This practice brought me comfort and taught me to trust the timing of my life. It’s a beautiful experience to envision oneself as a droplet of water or an ancient stone shaped by the currents, recognizing our place in the larger scheme of things. Life consists of cycles – highs and lows, light and darkness, lessons and inspiration.
