Grumpy’s Fresh Bloom: Dive into “Flower” on TunesDeck!

Grumpy – “Flower”

The New York-based music project Grumpy, led by Heaven Schmitt, has announced their partnership with Bayonet Records alongside the release of “Saltlick,” the initial single from their upcoming EP titled Wolfed. Following this, the new single “Flower” has just been released. This track further develops Grumpy’s unique sound, blending elements of twee indie-pop with a touch of surreal hyperpop, complemented by Schmitt’s emotionally resonant lyrics.

In discussing “Flower,” Schmitt shared the following sentiment:

While relationships may not be permanent, love certainly can be. This song expresses that, at this point in my life, love isn’t solely about making lifelong commitments; it’s about fostering connections that could last a lifetime. “Flower” conveys my acceptance of a relationship’s end with a sense of peace and gratitude for the experience. When I care for someone, I understand that love may evolve rather than fade away after the romance concludes.

The release of “Flower” is accompanied by a music video, collaboratively penned by Schmitt and directed by Meg Ha. You can watch it below.

The full EP Wolfed will be available on October 25 through Bayonet.
