Recently, Greg Mendez revealed his upcoming EP titled First Time / Alone and announced his partnership with Dead Oceans. Following the release of his track “First Time,” he has now introduced a new song entitled “Alone.”
“Alone” marks Mendez’s first creation after regaining his guitar skills post-surgery on his right wrist. The song is a poignant ballad, featuring lyrics that are both fragile and sharp, reminiscent of broken glass: “I’m alone outside your house/ An angel is knocking at your door, I want more/ Than what I came here looking for,” he gently sings alongside his classic acoustic guitar. The EP First Time / Alone is set to release on October 18 through Dead Oceans.
