This July, Great Grandpa marked their return with the release of “Kid,” their first track in five years. Now, the indie rock band has unveiled another exciting song called “Doom,” alongside their first tour in half a decade.
“Doom” is crafted by guitarist/engineer Dylan Hanwright and vocalist/guitarist Pat Goodwin, representing their first self-produced work since 2017’s Plastic Cough. The song starts off softly, almost like a hymn, but gradually evolves into a powerful, thunderous sound, highlighted by the poignant chorus: “It’s funny how I need you.” Check out the track and the upcoming tour dates below.
