Google Earth Releases New Music on TunesDeck

Google Earth – “Something Complicated”

John Vanderslice, known for his extensive career in music, has partnered with producer James Riotto to form Google Earth. Their debut album titled Street View is set to release in August. Ahead of the album launch, they have unveiled the lead single “Something Complicated.”

While Vanderslice is typically associated with indie rock, his recent work has showcased a shift towards electronic music. “Something Complicated,” a five-minute track, prominently features electronic elements with hints of guitar and ethereal vocal harmonies. Riotto shared insights on the duo’s collaboration:

John and I have been collaborating for a long time, but this album feels unique as it represents years of exploring abstract electronic sounds. Initially, we didn’t intend to create an album together. We simply hung out, jammed, and dined together. It was only later in the process that we realized the music we were creating was truly intriguing.
