This year, glixen introduced us to their mesmerizing shoegaze tracks “foreversoon” and “lust.” Just recently, the band from Phoenix unveiled their latest single, “sick silent.”
Lead vocalist Aislinn Ritchie shared insights about the song’s creation: “We worked on ‘sick silent’ with Sonny Diperri in Juniper Hills, CA. It’s meant to represent a meadow hidden within a dark forest, capturing a sense of fleeting moments. The track blends waves of distortion and reverse reverb, backed by energetic percussion and strong bass lines, with vocals piercing through layers of guitar, illustrating the unique world of Glixen.”
